The trailer of filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana was released on July 30 during Brahma Muhurta, generating widespread discussion among audiences and film enthusiasts. While much of the attention has focused on the performances of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the trailer also features several mythological elements that have sparked curiosity among viewers. The grand visual presentation of the trailer has highlighted various characters, creatures and divine objects associated with the ancient epic.
From celestial beings to legendary weapons and vehicles, the makers appear to have incorporated several references from the traditional Ramayana narrative while presenting them through modern visual effects and cinematic storytelling. One of the notable elements seen in the trailer is the reference to Airavat, the divine white elephant associated with Lord Indra, the king of the gods in Hindu mythology. Another major mythological element connected to the epic is the Pushpak Vimana, the legendary flying vehicle associated with Ravana. According to the Ramayana, the Pushpak Vimana originally belonged to Kubera, the lord of wealth, before Ravana acquired it. The celestial aircraft is one of the most recognised symbols from the epic and represents Ravana’s immense power, wealth and influence.
