Rukmini Vasanth, known for her acclaimed roles in Kantara: Chapter 1 and Sapta Saagaradaache Ello, has issued a public warning about a person impersonating her online. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on November 7, 2025, the actor clarified that an unknown individual has been using her name and a fake mobile number to contact people under false pretences.

In her post, Rukmini firmly stated, “I want to clarify that this number does not belong to me, and any messages or calls from it are completely fake. Please do not respond to or engage with such messages.” She also shared the fraudulent number being circulated, cautioning fans against falling victim to potential scams.

The actor described the act as a case of cybercrime and revealed that appropriate legal action has been initiated against those responsible. “These are misleading and fraudulent activities. I urge everyone to remain vigilant and verify any information before responding to such calls or messages,” she added.

Rukmini also requested that anyone seeking clarification or verification contact her or her official team through verified social media handles. “Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation. Stay alert and safe online,” she wrote, urging followers to report suspicious activity.

Responding promptly to her post, the Bengaluru City Police advised Rukmini to file an official complaint at the nearest police station. The department also warned the public not to share any personal information with unknown callers, reiterating that such incidents are being closely monitored.
