Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali has recalled a disturbing incident from his college days at Delhi University's Hindu College, revealing that he was once abducted by a local political gang following a dispute over a poster. The director shared the experience during a conversation on the podcast Unfiltered by Samdish, offering a glimpse into a frightening episode that unfolded during what he otherwise describes as one of the most formative periods of his life.

Ali, who graduated from Hindu College in 1993, has frequently spoken about the role the institution played in shaping his creative outlook and personal growth.
