Bollywood Choreographer Bosco Martis recently opened up about the physical challenges faced by actors while shooting some of the industry’s most iconic songs. In an interview with Mirchi Plus, he highlighted the dedication and stamina required by stars like Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh to deliver perfect performances.
Recalling the shoot of Tu Meri from Bang Bang, starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, Bosco said the team had to wait five hours for the dance floor to be perfectly smooth. “Hrithik is someone who, until he is comfortable in his shoes and on the floor, isn’t able to enjoy the song,” he noted, emphasising the actor’s meticulous approach to performance.
The choreographer also spoke about Kala Chashma from Baar Baar Dekho, where the shoot faced delays due to Katrina Kaif’s outfit. “For half a shift, the entire shoot was stopped while we adjusted her outfit so that her footwork could be visible. But it was worth it, as the end result became a chartbuster,” Bosco recalled.

Speaking about Senorita, he revealed that Hrithik Roshan performed despite being in extreme pain, demonstrating his dedication to the craft. He also praised Ranbir Kapoor’s natural charm during the song Tai Tai Phish from Chillar Party, which was filmed in just six hours. “Watching Ranbir dance makes you feel like you can dance too; it brings a smile to your face,” Bosco said, comparing his energy to legendary actors like Govinda.
Bosco further lauded Ranveer Singh’s commitment during physically demanding shoots. He recounted an incident on the Howrah Bridge when Ranveer sustained a cut on his leg requiring six to seven stitches. “Despite his injury, he continued dancing using his upper body. The audience only sees the energy he puts on screen,” Bosco explained.
The choreographer’s anecdotes shed light on the perseverance, preparation, and physical endurance behind Bollywood’s most memorable dance sequences, revealing the unseen dedication that goes into creating cinematic magic.
