Bollywood actor Esha Gupta has described the situation as “scary” after being stranded in Abu Dhabi amid rising tensions in the Middle East following coordinated U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian military and nuclear sites. The attacks, launched on February 28, prompted retaliatory actions from Iran targeting U.S. and Israeli interests across the region, including locations in Bahrain, the UAE, and Jordan.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Gupta reassured fans of her safety, writing, “To everyone checking in and messaging, I'm sorry for not replying. We are ok, we are safe! Times are scary, very tough. God is there to protect us.” She praised the Indian government’s efforts, adding, “We trust the @modgovae is doing the best in protecting and interception,” and prayed for the safety of all affected, particularly those stranded abroad. “Hope to be home soon,” she concluded.
Gupta is not alone in facing travel disruptions. Actor Sonal Chauhan recently revealed that she was stranded in Dubai due to flight cancellations caused by the escalating regional crisis. Addressing the Prime Minister via social media, Chauhan requested government support for a safe return to India, highlighting the widespread impact on Indian citizens in the Gulf.

Dubai International Airport has reported disruptions affecting numerous passengers. Airlines, including Air India and IndiGo, are coordinating with local authorities, monitoring the situation closely, and advising travelers to check official updates. Services are expected to resume once safe travel corridors reopen.
The escalating conflict comes as tensions in the Middle East remain volatile, with both military and civilian air travel impacted across multiple countries. For Indian nationals abroad, authorities are urging caution and ensuring support for those stranded. As situations evolve rapidly, passengers and tourists in affected regions are advised to remain in touch with embassies, follow airline instructions, and exercise caution while movements remain limited.
