Tollywood superstar Allu Arjun is set to redefine Indian cinema with his upcoming film, tentatively titled AA22 x A6, directed by Atlee and produced by Sun Pictures. Reports indicate Arjun will take on an unprecedented quadruple role, portraying a grandfather, father, and two sons in a narrative rumored to weave parallel universes, reincarnation, and time travel. While unconfirmed by the makers, the project’s ambitious scope has ignited massive anticipation, with filming underway in Mumbai and a targeted release in late 2026 or early 2027.
The film boasts a stellar cast, including Deepika Padukone as a sword-wielding queen, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Janhvi Kapoor, and Mrunal Thakur. A June 2025 video from Sun Pictures showcased Atlee narrating the script to Padukone, with motion capture glimpses hinting at her regal role. Rashmika is reportedly playing a negative character, a departure from her usual roles.
Backed by a hefty ₹800 crore budget, AA22 x A6 features top-tier Hollywood VFX talent, including James Madigan (Iron Man 2) and Justin Raleigh (Fractured FX), who praised the script as “unlike anything” they’ve read. Post-production is running parallel to shooting, ensuring a groundbreaking visual experience. Atlee, known for Jawan, aims to deliver a global epic blending intense emotion and high-octane action.
