Telangana Film Development Corporation Chairman and veteran producer Dil Raju has disclosed that megastar Allu Arjun has already provided a staggering ₹3.20 crore in financial assistance to the family of Sritej, the eight-year-old boy who suffered severe injuries in the tragic stampede during the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, 2024.
In a detailed video statement released to the media, Raju explained that ₹2 crore contributed by Allu Arjun and his father, producer Allu Aravind, was strategically invested in fixed deposits structured to generate a monthly payout of ₹75,000, ensuring long-term financial stability for the family’s daily expenses, medical bills, and other essential needs, while an additional ₹1.20 crore—including ₹1.5 crore locked in Sritej’s name until maturity—was disbursed for immediate hospitalisation, surgeries, and future security.
The controversy resurfaced when Sritej’s father, Bhaskar, publicly appealed for further rehabilitation funds, initially claiming lack of response from the actor’s team. Following Dil Raju’s direct intervention and meetings with the family, Bhaskar retracted his earlier statements, confirming that Allu Arjun has now committed to bearing 100% of all ongoing and future medical and rehabilitation costs for as long as required, with Raju personally assuring support “not just for six months, but even if it takes one year or more.”

The incident at Sandhya Theatre resulted in the death of Revathi, Sritej’s mother, and left the child in critical condition with oxygen deprivation injuries. Allu Arjun, along with members of his team and theatre management, faced brief arrest before securing bail, yet the actor immediately announced substantial aid to the bereaved family, a commitment that has now been independently verified and expanded.
With the family expressing gratitude and the matter formally resolved, both Dil Raju and Bhaskar have requested an end to negative speculation, emphasising that Allu Arjun’s assistance has been consistent, generous, and unconditional, ensuring Sritej receives the best possible care until full recovery.
