The trailer for Ajith Kumar's Good Bad Ugly, which was unveiled last evening,  has already generated immense excitement among fans. It offers a glimpse into what appears to be a high-octane action-comedy with the star in a dynamic role. The trailer is packed with references to Ajith's past hit movies, such as Varalaru, Villain, and Dheena, blending nostalgia with fresh cinematic elements. The trailer has sparked a frenzy on social media, with fans celebrating Ajith's return to a mass entertainer.

Going by what appears on the trailer, Ajith's character has various shades of personality, which of course, the title also alludes  to. The storyline hints at a mix of action, comedy, and drama, with a strong gangster backdrop. The narrative also explores themes of family, as Ajith's character's relationship with his son forms a crucial part of the plot.

Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead. She was the heroine of his last release Vida Muyarchi too. Her elegant presence and Arjun Das's villainous transformation have also caught the audience's attention. The trailer pits Ajith's spunk and insouciance against Arjun Das' baritone act. 

The film is directed by Adhik Ravichandran, whose previous movie Mark Antony was a commercial hit. Others in the cast of Good Bad and Ugly include Prabhu, Prasanna, Sunil, Rahul Dev, Yogi Babu, and Shine Tom Chacko. The music by GV Prakash Kumar features a mix of nostalgic tracks and new compositions. The trailer itself opens with Otha Rooba Tharen, a rambunctious rural beats filled song of Ilaiayaraaja's from the 1996 film Nattupura Pattu. Malaysia Tamil rapper Darkey's Puli Puli' adds a modern touch to the film's music.

Telugu biggies Mythri Movie Makers are marking their Tamil cinema debut with Good Bad Ugly.

The film is set to hit theatres worldwide on April 10, 2025.
