Tata Motors officially relaunched the iconic Sierra nameplate on November 25, 2025, with the all-new Tata Sierra SUV priced aggressively from Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The five-seater mid-size SUV marks the revival of a beloved badge last seen over two decades ago and will be available in seven variants: Smart Plus, Pure, Pure Plus, Adventure, Adventure Plus, Accomplished, and Accomplished Plus. Bookings open on December 16, 2025, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin from January 15, 2026. The Sierra directly challenges segment leaders such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Mahindra XUV700 by combining modern design, extensive features, and a choice of three new powertrains.
Powertrain options include a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated Revotron petrol (106 PS/145 Nm) with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT, a 1.5-liter Kryojet turbo-diesel (118 PS, up to 280 Nm with automatic), and an all-new 1.5-liter TGDi Hyperion turbo-petrol engine, details of which will be revealed closer to delivery. All variants come standard with six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, an electronic stability program with 20 sub-functions including rollover mitigation, ISOFIX mounts, and a 5-star expected safety rating structure. Even the entry-level Smart Plus variant is generously equipped with bi-LED projector headlamps, Light Saber LED DRLs and tail lamps, a 10.16 cm digital cockpit, rear AC vents, 45W USB-C charging, electric tailgate release, and flush door handles with welcome lighting.
Higher trims escalate the feature list dramatically. The Pure and Pure Plus variants add a 26 cm touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof. Adventure and Adventure Plus grades introduce 360-degree cameras, terrain response modes, a larger 31.24 cm infotainment screen, and frequency-dependent damping suspension. The top-spec Accomplished and Accomplished Plus variants bring Level-2 (and Level-2+) ADAS with up to 22 functions, including autonomous emergency braking and lane centering; a JBL 12-speaker Dolby Atmos system; a triple-screen “Horizon View” cockpit; a gesture-controlled powered tailgate; a 6-way powered driver seat with memory; an air purifier with AQI display; and over 73 connected-car features via the iRA platform.
