Aryaman Birla Posts “Sorry Birla Estates” Ahead Of RCB vs GT IPL Final

Aryaman Birla’s Instagram post goes viral ahead of RCB vs GT IPL final.

An Instagram story by Aryaman Birla, co-owner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), has gone viral ahead of the IPL 2026 final between RCB and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The post, which playfully acknowledged the high-stakes nature of the match, has added an extra layer of buzz to an already intense title clash.

In the viral story, Aryaman Birla wrote, “Sorry @birlaestates today is red day,” alongside a graphic featuring RCB captain Rajat Patidar and GT skipper Shubman Gill holding the IPL trophy. The reference was seen as a light-hearted nod to the fact that Birla Estates, part of the Aditya Birla Group, is the principal sponsor of Gujarat Titans, while the sentiment of the post clearly leaned in favour of RCB ahead of the final.

The final between RCB and GT is being viewed as one of the most anticipated matches of the season, with both franchises aiming for their second IPL title. RCB, led by Rajat Patidar, enter the contest after a dominant win over GT in Qualifier 1, where they secured a 92-run victory. Gujarat Titans, however, bounced back strongly by defeating Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 to secure their place in the final.

Beyond the on-field rivalry, the match also brings together two contrasting leadership narratives. Rajat Patidar has delivered a standout season with consistent middle-order performances, scoring 486 runs at a strike rate close to 197. His explosive knock of 93 not out off 33 balls against GT earlier in the playoffs has been one of the defining moments of RCB’s campaign.

On the other hand, Shubman Gill has had a season of redemption in the IPL after a mixed international T20 phase. The GT captain has amassed over 700 runs this season, including a century and multiple half-centuries, re-establishing himself as one of the most dominant batters in the tournament. His ability to anchor and accelerate innings has been central to GT’s success.

As anticipation builds for the final showdown, the clash between Patidar and Gill is being seen not just as a battle for the IPL trophy, but also as a statement moment for two of Indian cricket’s emerging leaders. With form, pride, and legacy at stake, the Ahmedabad final promises a fitting conclusion to a fiercely competitive season.
