Tejashwi Yadav Launches “Tejashwi Pran Patra” Ahead of Bihar Assembly Polls

INDIA bloc manifesto vows top state status.

RJD leader and INDIA bloc chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Prasad Yadav announced on Tuesday that the opposition coalition’s manifesto, set for release in Patna this afternoon, will serve as a comprehensive vision document to elevate Bihar to the number one state in India. Dubbed the “Tejashwi Pran Patra,” the manifesto presents a detailed five-year roadmap addressing critical issues like unemployment, inflation, migration, education, healthcare, and farmer welfare, with actionable policies designed to transform the state’s socio-economic landscape.

Key promises include guaranteeing at least one government job per household within 20 days of forming the government and extending this to all households within 20 months. The document pledges permanent employment for Jeevika didis and contractual workers, full interest waivers on their loans, and an additional Rs 2,000 monthly allowance for those engaged in government schemes. It also focuses on youth skill development, women’s safety through dedicated task forces, enhanced pensions for senior citizens, and a robust law-and-order system with clear reservation caps to ensure equitable representation.

Yadav sharply criticized the ruling NDA for failing to declare its chief ministerial candidate or release its own manifesto, accusing the alliance of lacking vision and merely replicating opposition commitments. He alleged that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have delivered no meaningful development for Bihar over the years, with the PM indulging in divisive rhetoric and personal attacks during state visits instead of engaging in constructive governance.

The manifesto launch comes at a crucial juncture ahead of Bihar’s 243-member Assembly elections, scheduled in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results on November 14. To amplify its message, the INDIA bloc has lined up high-profile joint rallies starting October 29 in Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga, featuring Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alongside Tejashwi. Additional campaigns will involve senior Congress figures like Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sonia Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, targeting urban and rural voters across key constituencies.

With Bihar grappling with decades of stagnation, migration, and youth frustration, the INDIA bloc positions its manifesto as a people-centric alternative to NDA’s alleged governance failures. Tejashwi emphasized that the document reflects ground realities gathered through extensive public consultations, aiming to restore hope and pride in Bihar’s identity as a cradle of knowledge and progress.
