Chandrababu Naidu Urges TDP Cadres To Improve Vote Share And Discipline Ahead Of Polls

Naidu asks TDP cadres to strengthen booth-level work and increase vote share in upcoming elections.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday called on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and cadres to significantly increase the party’s vote share in the upcoming elections, urging a stronger organisational push at the grassroots level, especially at polling booth units across the state. Addressing party leaders after administering an oath to newly formed politburo, national, and state committees at the TDP headquarters in Mangalagiri, Naidu said the party must secure more votes than it did in the 2024 elections. He stressed that improved performance in future polls would be essential to demonstrate effective governance and public trust in the party’s agenda for development.

Naidu also urged party workers to highlight the developmental initiatives undertaken by the current government, particularly in the upcoming local body elections. Expressing confidence in a strong performance, he said the alliance’s mandate was to rebuild and transform Andhra Pradesh and that the TDP must reflect that mandate through increased electoral support in future contests.

Emphasising coordination within the ruling alliance, Naidu called for close cooperation between the TDP, Jana Sena, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the grassroots level. He underlined the importance of maintaining discipline and avoiding controversies, stating that smooth coordination among alliance partners was essential for political stability and governance in the state.

The Chief Minister said the TDP’s organisational strength lies in its disciplined cadre and long-standing political presence, asserting that the party has remained resilient through multiple challenges over its 44-year history. He reiterated that discipline, from party workers to senior leadership, remains a core principle guiding the organisation’s functioning.

Highlighting internal restructuring, Naidu said the formation of new party committees had been carried out through a detailed and strategic process, balancing representation between experienced leaders and new entrants. He added that the inclusion of grassroots-level leaders in higher organisational structures reflected the party’s commitment to recognising dedication and performance.

Naidu also praised his son and TDP national working president Nara Lokesh, crediting him for his role in strengthening the party during its time in opposition and for contributing to initiatives aimed at job creation and attracting investments to the state. He said the government was working to revive the state’s economy, implement welfare schemes, and restore public confidence while countering opposition criticism with facts.
