Three cousins killed in Bihar car crash into bridge divider.
In a devastating accident early Tuesday, three cousins—Sonu Kumar (21), Rohit Kumar (22), and Uddeshya Kumar (18)—lost their lives when their car rammed into a bridge divider near Kathhar Bridge on the Patna–Jehanabad main road. Police reported that the speeding vehicle lost control while trying to avoid an oncoming car, resulting in a severe collision that mangled the car.
The trio had been returning from a Tilak ceremony for a friend’s sister in Punpun block, Patna. Two of the youths died on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries en route to Patna Medical College and Hospital. Another youth, Suraj (19), sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment in Patna.
The accident plunged their home village of Teni Bigha into mourning, as relatives and residents struggled to cope with the sudden loss of three young lives from the same family. Authorities have begun investigations into the cause of the crash, with overspeeding cited as a potential factor.
