RPF Mysuru Returns Lost Guitar to Netherlands Traveller, Earns Heartfelt Gratitude

RPF Mysuru recovered a Netherlands tourist's guitar left on a train overnight.

A tourist from the Netherlands has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) after officials swiftly recovered her lost guitar at Mysuru Railway Station, highlighting the efficiency of railway authorities in handling passenger belongings.

The incident involved Renske Roos Termenlen, who accidentally left her guitar behind while travelling on Train No. 16551 MAS-AP Express. The oversight came to light after she had already disembarked, prompting her to approach authorities for assistance.

According to officials, the RPF team acted immediately upon receiving the complaint. Coordinating with staff at Ashokapuram Railway Station, they quickly traced and secured the instrument, ensuring it remained safe until it could be returned to its rightful owner.

The guitar was handed back to Termenlen the following day after completing necessary verification procedures. Authorities ensured proper checks were conducted before releasing the item, maintaining protocol while also prioritising prompt service.

Expressing her appreciation, Termenlen praised the professionalism and efficiency of the RPF team. “I forgot my guitar and went to RPF. I am very happy for your help. Thank you,” she said, acknowledging their timely support.

The incident has drawn attention to the responsiveness of Indian Railways staff in assisting passengers, particularly international travellers, reinforcing confidence in the system’s ability to handle such situations effectively.
