Pawan Kalyan Says Jana Sena Committed To Protecting India’s Unity And National Interest

Pawan Kalyan reaffirms Jana Sena’s nation-first political ideology.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan on Monday reiterated his party’s commitment to national unity and said that preserving India’s integrity remains the central guiding principle of its political ideology. Addressing a programme in the national capital, he emphasised that Jana Sena would continue to uphold a “country first” doctrine and resist any forces that he said could threaten the country’s cohesion.

The meeting, titled ‘Jana Sena’s Journey for National Integration’, was held in New Delhi and focused on the party’s ideological direction and organisational priorities. Pawan Kalyan said the party’s presence in the capital was not driven by political ambition or the pursuit of power, but by what he described as a larger national vision rooted in patriotism and public service.

Reiterating the party’s core slogan “Country First, Everything Else Next,” he said Jana Sena would firmly oppose any ideology or movement that promotes separatism, regional hostility or social division. He added that safeguarding national interest and promoting unity were non-negotiable principles for the party and its cadre across the country.

The discussion at the event reportedly centred around five key themes, including India’s broader development vision under Viksit Bharat, the role of Jana Sena in national integration, Andhra Pradesh’s governance experience over the past two years under the coalition government, the party’s 12-year political journey, and the responsibilities of younger generations in shaping India’s future.

Pawan Kalyan also reiterated the party’s position on the formation of Telangana, stating that Jana Sena had never opposed the creation of the state. However, he said the party had criticised the manner in which the bifurcation was executed, alleging that it lacked proper planning and fairness, leaving unresolved administrative and financial issues between the two states.

He further observed that Jana Sena’s ideology was gaining acceptance beyond Andhra Pradesh, claiming that people from states such as Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu were increasingly showing interest in the party’s philosophy. According to him, this reflected a growing resonance for political movements that prioritise national interest over regional or partisan considerations.

Pawan Kalyan also cautioned against divisive tendencies in politics, stating that even small disruptive forces could create larger challenges if left unchecked. Without naming individuals directly, he criticised certain leaders for making strong statements about influencing national politics from the South, suggesting that such rhetoric often diminished when they engaged directly at the national level.

State ministers and party representatives who attended the programme said the initiative was aimed at strengthening constitutional values and promoting a sense of national responsibility among future generations. They reiterated that Jana Sena’s activities in the national capital were intended to reinforce patriotic engagement rather than pursue political bargaining or positional advantage.
