Modi joins G7 leaders in France to discuss global partnerships.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Evian, France, on Tuesday to participate in the G7 Summit, marking the final leg of his two-nation diplomatic tour. The visit comes at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and underscores India's growing engagement with major global economies on issues ranging from international cooperation to sustainable development and economic growth.

Upon his arrival in the French city, Prime Minister Modi will receive a formal welcome from President Macron before joining leaders from the Group of Seven nations and invited partner countries for high-level discussions. The summit is expected to provide a platform for world leaders to exchange views on pressing global challenges, including economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, climate concerns and development priorities.

A key highlight of the summit will be a working session titled “Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity.” The session will bring together leaders from G7 member countries, partner nations and representatives of major international financial institutions. Participants are expected to explore ways to strengthen global cooperation and build resilient partnerships capable of addressing emerging international challenges.

On the sidelines of the summit, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral meetings with several world leaders. These include discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The meetings are expected to cover a range of issues, including trade, investment, strategic cooperation and regional developments.

Although India is not a member of the G7, it has regularly been invited to attend summit meetings in recent years as a key partner nation. The visit is expected to further strengthen India's engagement with major economies while advancing discussions on shared global priorities and long-term international cooperation.
