Passengers Safe After Tense Bomb Scare on IndiGo Delhi-Pune Flight
The IndiGo Delhi-Pune flight was cleared after bomb threat checks found no threats.
An IndiGo flight operating from Delhi to Pune was subjected to heightened security checks on Thursday evening after authorities received a bomb threat, though no suspicious items were found following a comprehensive inspection, officials said.
IndiGo flight 6E 2608, scheduled to arrive in Pune at 8:40 pm, landed at 9:24 pm and was parked at Bay No. 3 shortly thereafter. According to officials, Air Traffic Control (ATC) relayed the bomb threat information to Apron Control soon after the aircraft’s arrival. As a precautionary measure, the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay to allow security agencies to carry out standard safety procedures.
Apron Control immediately alerted all concerned agencies, and the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) was convened to evaluate the credibility of the threat. Based on the assessment, the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) conducted a thorough search of the aircraft, following established security protocols.

Officials confirmed that the inspection did not reveal any suspicious or adverse findings. After completion of the checks, the aircraft was cleared and released for normal operations. Authorities said the situation was managed in a coordinated and timely manner, ensuring there was no risk to passengers, crew, or airport operations, and no further incident was reported.
In a statement, IndiGo said that a security threat was noticed onboard the flight soon after landing. The airline said it immediately informed the relevant authorities and fully cooperated with them in carrying out standard operating procedures. All passengers and crew members disembarked safely, the airline added.
Reiterating its commitment to safety, IndiGo said the security and well-being of its customers, crew, and aircraft remained its top priority. The incident caused no reported injuries or damage and resulted only in precautionary delays as authorities completed the mandatory security checks.
