According to police, Sahu locked the staircase door leading to the terrace before dousing himself with petrol and igniting the blaze. Bhubaneswar Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Jagmohan Meena confirmed that no suicide note was found, leaving the motive unclear. “The exact reason for his death is yet to be determined, pending a postmortem examination,” Meena stated.
