NEET Topper Aryan Gupta Shares Success Strategy
Punjab’s Aryan Gupta emerged as one of the top achievers in NEET UG 2026 after securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 with an impressive score of 715 out of 720 marks. Following the announcement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) results by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday, Aryan shared the approach and discipline that helped him reach the top of one of India’s most competitive entrance examinations. Aryan, who comes from a family of doctors, described his achievement as a dream come true. Speaking to news agency PTI, he said the moment felt unreal after months of intense preparation and hard work.
He credited his success to consistency, determination and maintaining a rigorous study routine throughout his preparation period. The NEET UG 2026 results saw Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Haryana’s Panshul Bansal emerge as the highest scorers, with both candidates securing 715 marks out of 720. This year, 11.21 lakh candidates qualified for the medical entrance examination, reflecting the intense competition among aspirants seeking admission to medical colleges across the country. Sharing his preparation strategy, Aryan said he studied for nearly 16 to 17 hours every day to achieve his goal.
He acknowledged that the demanding schedule required significant sacrifices, including managing long study hours and limited rest. However, he said the hard work eventually paid off and made the achievement feel extraordinary. “I worked hard; I would not get sleep, but it is feeling surreal now, looking like a dream. Everyone is happy. I studied for 16-17 hours in a day,” Aryan told PTI. He also advised fellow NEET aspirants to trust their teachers and follow guidance from experienced mentors during their preparation journey. The results highlighted the exceptional performance of several students this year.
