Indian Navy’s Epic Show of Strength at SIMBEX 2025 in Singapore!

The Indian Navy joins the 32nd Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) in Singapore, showcasing cutting-edge warships and deepening ties with ASEAN partners.

The Indian Navy is set to make waves at the 32nd edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX), a cornerstone of India’s naval engagement with the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), to be held later this month in Singapore. High Commissioner to Singapore Shilpak Ambule hailed SIMBEX as one of India’s longest uninterrupted maritime exercises, underscoring its role in strengthening regional ties.

Speaking aboard INS Shakti during a visit by the Eastern Fleet from July 16-19, Ambule emphasized the exercise’s alignment with India’s Vision SAGAR and Act East policy, fostering collaboration amid evolving maritime challenges. “The Indian Navy’s engagement with Singapore has grown stronger over three decades, addressing piracy and non-state threats to ensure a rules-based maritime order,” he said.

The fleet, including INS Delhi, Satpura, Shakti, and Kiltan—indigenously designed, tech-advanced warships—demonstrates India’s naval prowess. Rear Admiral Susheel Menon leads the contingent, which will also visit the Philippines and Vietnam. Ambule highlighted India’s upcoming International Fleet Review and MILAN exercise in Visakhapatnam in February 2026, alongside the Goa Maritime Conclave, to further regional cooperation.
