Free Women’s Health Camp at AIIMS Gets Delhi CM’s Backing

Delhi CM backs women’s health drive at AIIMS free camp.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta visited the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ health camp at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, emphasizing the pivotal role of women’s health in fostering strong families and a robust nation.

“A healthy woman ensures a healthy family and together, a healthy country,” Gupta declared, underscoring the initiative’s alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to provide free healthcare services to millions of women across India.

The fortnight-long camp, running from September 17 to October 2, is organized under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s campaign and offers free consultations and routine check-ups to women, including patients, attendants, family members, and staff.

Services span multiple specialties, including Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Dental, Ophthalmology, Pulmonology, Psychology, Nutrition, Dermatology, Pediatrics, and Hematology.  “From cancer screening to eye and dental check-ups and TB awareness, every service here is aimed at strengthening women’s health and empowering families,” Gupta stated.

The program also includes awareness campaigns on cancer screening and TB prevention through the Nikshay Mitra scheme, alongside yoga sessions and workshops promoting work-life balance for women.

AIIMS, which serves nearly five lakh outpatient department (OPD) patients annually, plays a critical role in Delhi’s healthcare landscape, making the camp a significant step toward accessible and comprehensive women’s healthcare.
