Amit Shah to address Uttar Pradesh Day in Lucknow on January 24 as chief guest.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address the Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations as the Chief Guest on January 24 in Lucknow, marking an important occasion for the state. The main programme will be held at Rashtra Prerna Sthal, where senior leaders, officials, and dignitaries are expected to participate in the grand event.

The celebrations will focus on showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s cultural heritage, economic potential, and development vision. Several flagship initiatives aimed at strengthening entrepreneurship, promoting local traditions, and accelerating industrial growth will be formally launched during the event.

One of the key announcements will be the launch of the ‘One District One Cuisine’ (ODOC) scheme, designed to identify and promote the unique traditional food of each district. The initiative aims to improve quality standards, enhance branding, and expand market access, helping local cuisines gain recognition at both national and international levels.

Amit Shah will also inaugurate the Sardar Patel Industrial Zone Programme, which is expected to play a significant role in boosting industrial investment and job creation across Uttar Pradesh. The programme aligns with the state government’s broader goal of positioning Uttar Pradesh as a major industrial and manufacturing hub.

As part of the celebrations, the Home Minister will present awards to top-performing districts under the CM YUVA (Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Yojana), a scheme focused on nurturing youth-led enterprises. The awards recognise districts that have excelled in supporting young entrepreneurs and fostering self-employment.

Additionally, Amit Shah will confer the Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman 2025–26 on individuals who have made exceptional contributions in diverse fields. The honours aim to acknowledge achievements that have brought recognition and pride to the state, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s identity as a centre of talent, innovation, and cultural richness.
