Faridabad Birthday Brawl: Woman Thrashed Over DJ Song Dispute
Faridabad club birthday party fight over DJ music leaves woman thrashed.
A birthday party at a club in Greater Faridabad turned violent on Thursday night after an argument over DJ music escalated into a physical altercation, leaving a young woman allegedly beaten and prompting a police investigation, officials said. The incident occurred at Club Vayu on Omaxe World Street in Sector 88, where a group had gathered to celebrate the birthday of a young woman identified as Mehak, who is currently studying abroad and visiting home for the occasion, according to a complaint filed with police.
According to the complaint by Raman Grover, family members arrived around midnight to drop off Mehak and her friends for the party. Shortly thereafter, a disagreement broke out between the birthday party guests and another group over changing music being played by the DJ, a dispute that quickly intensified.
A video circulating on social media showed a chaotic scene in which the woman tried to intervene between the two groups before the confrontation turned violent. Grover alleged in his complaint that his daughter was slapped during the confrontation, and that others in her group were assaulted and one of her diamond earrings was snatched.
Police confirmed they have registered a formal First Information Report (FIR) at the BPTP police station against Vaibhav Arora, Rishit and several unnamed others believed to be involved in the attack. Authorities said both groups were known to the club owner, and that investigators are examining CCTV footage from the venue as part of their inquiry.

“We are scanning CCTV camera footage from the club. Action will be taken as per the law after verifying the facts,” local SHO Arvind Kumar told reporters. Police have not yet publicly confirmed the extent of injuries or whether any arrests have been made, as the probe into the incident continues.
The episode has raised concerns about safety at nightlife venues in the National Capital Region, where disputes over seemingly minor issues such as music selection can quickly escalate into more serious violence. As investigations proceed, local authorities are under pressure to ensure accountability and prevent similar incidents in the future.
