GE Aerospace Plans ₹100 Crore Investment In Pune Manufacturing Facility

GE Aerospace has announced a fresh investment of ₹100 crore in its manufacturing facility in Pune, aimed at strengthening infrastructure, enhancing production capabilities, and supporting advanced engineering processes at the site.

The company said the latest investment will be used to upgrade key manufacturing systems, including the introduction of new welding technologies, advanced inspection equipment, precision tools, gauges, fixtures, and other infrastructure improvements. These upgrades are intended to improve production capacity, increase process accuracy, and ensure the delivery of high-quality components for global aerospace customers.

According to GE Aerospace, the Pune facility plays a significant role in its global supply chain and is involved in the production of critical components used in commercial aircraft engines. The company highlighted that the site is supported by a strong domestic supplier ecosystem, with more than 300 local suppliers and access to a broader network of over 2,200 suppliers across India.

The latest ₹100 crore infusion adds to earlier investments of ₹410 crore made over the past two years, bringing the total investment in the Pune facility to more than ₹510 crore over a three-year period. The company said the sustained capital deployment reflects its long-term commitment to expanding its manufacturing footprint in India.

GE Aerospace also emphasised that India remains an important hub in its global operations, both as a manufacturing base and as part of its broader engineering and supply chain strategy. The expansion is expected to further integrate the Pune facility into global production networks while supporting rising demand in the commercial aviation sector.
