Ryan Reynolds Confirms Deadpool’s Return With New Marvel Film
Ryan Reynolds confirms another Deadpool movie is underway.
Actor Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that another Deadpool movie is currently in development, giving Marvel fans a new reason to anticipate the return of the popular antihero Wade Wilson. While the actor did not reveal whether the project will officially be titled Deadpool 4, he indicated that more stories from the character’s comic book history are still being considered for adaptation.
Speaking at Fanatics Fest, Ryan said there are several memorable and lesser-known Deadpool storylines that he would like to bring to the big screen. Although he avoided sharing specific details about the upcoming project, his comments confirmed that the character will continue to have a future within Marvel’s expanding cinematic universe.
Ryan also highlighted his appreciation for the wider world of Deadpool comics and praised the creative contributions of comic book writers who have shaped the character over the years. He suggested that there are still many opportunities to explore different aspects of Wade Wilson’s personality, relationships, and adventures through future films.

The announcement follows Ryans’ earlier comments after the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, where he suggested that the character’s next appearance could take a different direction. Instead of immediately focusing on another standalone film, Ryan said he was interested in exploring possibilities where Deadpool could become part of a larger ensemble story.
Reports have also suggested that future Deadpool projects may include appearances by other characters from the X-Men universe, although Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed those details. Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine has also remained a topic of speculation following the success of Deadpool & Wolverine.
Meanwhile, Ryan continues to be linked with possible appearances in upcoming Marvel projects, including Avengers: Doomsday. While the studio has not announced the complete cast, speculation remains that Deadpool could appear alongside other major Marvel characters as the franchise continues to develop new storylines.
