Renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra has stepped into the world of filmmaking as a debut producer with Gustaakh Ishq, a period romance under his banner, Stage5 Production. The film’s teaser, unveiled on Monday, August 25, 2025, offers a captivating glimpse into a tale of passion and unspoken desire, set against the evocative backdrops of Purani Dilli’s bylanes and Punjab’s fading kothis.
Directed by Vibhu Puri, Gustaakh Ishq stars Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh as the romantic leads, with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah adding depth to the narrative with an enigmatic role. The ensemble is rounded out by Sharib Hashmi in a prominent part. The film boasts a stellar creative team, including music by Vishal Bhardwaj, lyrics by Gulzar, sound design by Resul Pookutty, and cinematography by Manush Nandan, promising a visually and emotionally rich experience.
