Bollywood Film Shoot Turns Chaotic: Over 100 Crew Members Hospitalized
Over 100 Bollywood film crew members hospitalized in Leh due to massive food poisoning outbreak.
Over 100 crew members working on an upcoming Bollywood film were hospitalized in Leh on Sunday night due to a severe outbreak of food poisoning, according to local officials. The workers, none of whom are local residents, were rushed to SNM Hospital after experiencing acute symptoms including severe abdominal pain, headaches, and vomiting.
The incident occurred after approximately 600 people consumed meals at the filming location. Authorities have collected food samples for detailed analysis to determine the cause of the outbreak. A doctor at SNM Hospital confirmed the cases as food poisoning, noting that the hospital mobilized staff from all departments to manage the crisis effectively. Police assistance was also required to control the chaotic situation in the overcrowded emergency ward.
Despite the severity of the incident, the condition of all affected workers is reported as stable, with most having been discharged after receiving treatment. The rapid response from medical and law enforcement teams ensured the situation was brought under control, but the incident has raised concerns about food safety protocols on film sets.
