Aryan Khan’s Netflix Debut: ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’ Set to Shake Things Up

Aryan Khan’s first directorial venture promises a bold, satirical take on Bollywood’s glitz and chaos.

Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan, makes his directorial debut with The Ba*ds of Bollywood, a Netflix series that blends sharp humor and self-aware storytelling, as unveiled in its first teaser on Sunday. Written by Aryan, Bilal Siddiqi, and Manav Chauhan, and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the show features a powerhouse cast including Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhari, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli, and Gautami Kapoor.

The teaser, shared on Netflix’s X handle with the caption “Zyaada hogaya? Aadat daal lo,” introduces a chaotic Bollywood-inspired world. Aryan narrates a seemingly romantic story that takes a darkly comedic turn when the female lead is unexpectedly hit by a truck, setting the tone for the series’ irreverent style. Highlighting glimpses of Lakshya, Sahher, and Mona Singh, Aryan describes the show as “crazy,” promising to both “toast and roast” the film industry.

Executively produced by Bonnie Jain and Akshat Verma, The Ba*ds of Bollywood positions itself as a provocative yet grounded satire, poised to captivate audiences with its bold take on Bollywood’s underbelly.
