Dhurandhar 2 Needs Rs 135 Crore More to Beat Pushpa 2's Record

Dhurandhar 2 crosses Rs 1,099 crore domestically, but Pushpa 2's record remains intact.

Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has continued its strong box office run, completing 28 days in theatres and maintaining its position among the highest-grossing Indian films. According to industry estimates, the film’s domestic net collection now stands at ₹1,099.72 crore, while its worldwide gross has climbed to ₹1,733.20 crore, driven by steady earnings across four weeks of theatrical release.

On Day 28 alone, the film earned ₹4.05 crore domestically, reflecting a typical fourth-week slowdown but still contributing to its massive overall total. The film’s overseas collections also showed marginal growth, with Day 28 adding ₹0.50 crore, taking its international gross to ₹416.75 crore. Despite the gradual drop in daily earnings, the film continues to maintain a strong global presence.

The film’s weekly performance highlights its sharp early momentum followed by a predictable decline over time. In its first week, Dhurandhar 2 recorded a massive ₹674.17 crore domestically, setting the foundation for its blockbuster status. However, collections dipped in the second week to ₹263.65 crore and further reduced to ₹110.60 crore in the third week as audience turnout naturally slowed after the initial surge.

From its opening phase, the film demonstrated exceptional box office strength, starting with ₹102.55 crore on March 19 and maintaining strong daily averages through its first weekend. Paid previews alone contributed ₹43 crore, while early week earnings consistently stayed between ₹40–60 crore before stabilising in later weeks. By the second week, collections began fluctuating between ₹20–30 crore, eventually falling to single-digit figures on multiple days in the third week.

Despite its impressive run, the film still trails Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 in the race for the highest-grossing Indian film. Reports suggest Pushpa 2 stands at ₹1,234.10 crore in India net collections, meaning Dhurandhar 2 needs approximately ₹135 crore more to claim the top position. However, industry trackers note that Pushpa 2 benefited significantly from stronger regional contributions, particularly in South India, where it outperformed Dhurandhar 2.

With a total franchise gross reportedly crossing ₹3,000 crore, Dhurandhar 2 has also set new benchmarks for Indian cinema, including becoming the highest-grossing Indian franchise without major contributions from Gulf and China markets. Starring Ranveer Singh alongside Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, the film continues its theatrical run, though its final positioning in the all-time rankings will depend on its remaining box office momentum in the coming weeks.
