Dhurandhar Actor Vivek Sinha Denies Rs 1 Crore Paycheck Rumour, Says Money is Already Gone

Vivek Sinha denies viral pay cheque claims, saying earnings from Dhurandhar are already spent.

Actor Vivek Sinha has addressed viral rumours claiming he received up to Rs 1 crore for his role in Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, clarifying that the figures circulating online are inaccurate. The speculation gained traction on social media after lists of actor paychecks from the film began trending. Sinha, who portrayed hijacker Zahoor Mistry in the spy thriller, took to Instagram to directly respond to the claims. His clarification comes amid growing attention around both his performance and the film’s commercial success. The actor emphasised that while he was paid fairly, the exaggerated figures were misleading.

In a video message, Sinha acknowledged being part of a film featuring major stars like Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal. He explained that multiple versions of his alleged salary were being shared online, ranging from Rs 60 lakh to Rs 1 crore. However, he firmly denied these claims, stating that he did not receive such a high amount. The actor urged people to stop spreading unverified information about his earnings. His candid response quickly gained attention across social media platforms.

Sinha also revealed that the rumours had led to an unexpected consequence, with many people reaching out to him for financial help. He responded humorously yet honestly, saying he would help if he had such money. The actor clarified that although he received a respectable payment for his work, it was nowhere close to the figures being circulated. He added that most of his earnings have already been spent due to the high cost of living in Mumbai. His remarks highlighted the gap between public perception and reality in the film industry.

Apart from the financial rumours, Sinha’s role in the film has also generated significant discussion online. One of his dialogues went viral, bringing both praise and criticism from different sections of the audience. Addressing the backlash indirectly, he shared a post stating, “My name is Vivek Sinha, I am not a terrorist,” distancing himself from the character he portrayed. The statement reflected the intensity with which audiences sometimes react to on-screen roles. His performance, however, remains one of the most talked-about aspects of the film.

Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues its strong run at the box office, maintaining momentum even after three weeks in theatres. The film has reportedly crossed over Rs 1,250 crore in domestic gross collections and has performed well in international markets. Its worldwide earnings have surpassed Rs 1,600 crore, reflecting its massive commercial success. Despite ongoing debates and controversies, the film remains a major draw for audiences. Sinha’s clarification adds a personal dimension to the larger conversation surrounding the film’s popularity and industry dynamics.
