Anushka Sharma Praises Ranveer Singh's Flawless Performance, Kohli Calls Director a Genius

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have added their voices to the growing fanfare surrounding the Ranveer Singh blockbuster Dhurandhar 2. Both stars shared detailed reviews on their Instagram accounts, calling the film "gripping", "immersive", and a rare cinematic experience that holds the audience’s attention from start to finish.

Anushka Sharma lauded director Aditya Dhar for his “fiercely original” approach and praised the nearly four-hour-long film for being meticulously crafted. She highlighted Ranveer Singh’s performance as “solid” and "flawless" and also commended supporting actors Madhavan, Rampal, and Rakesh Bedi for making the film complete. Anushka emphasized that the ensemble’s performances were essential to the story, calling the movie “unthinkable without each of you".

Virat Kohli called the experience “unprecedented” in Indian cinema, praising Dhar’s talent and conviction. He remarked that the film evoked a wide spectrum of emotions without a single dull moment. He also singled out Ranveer Singh for taking his craft to a new level, describing his performance as “beyond brilliant” and “absolutely WOW".

Director Aditya Dhar responded warmly to both stars, expressing that their appreciation was overwhelming and motivating. He stated that such encouragement pushes him and his team to continue telling stories with “honesty, heart, and purpose” and to strive for films that move audiences deeply.

Since its release in December 2025, Dhurandhar 2 has set new benchmarks at the box office. By day 18, it crossed ₹1,000 crore (net) in India, making it the second-highest net grosser in the history of Indian cinema, surpassing the lifetime collections of its prequel and trailing only Pushpa 2
