Dhurandhar 2 Becomes Unstoppable: Rs 1,622 Crore Worldwide Collections

Dhurandhar 2 earns Rs 1,622 crore globally, dominating box office.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as a box-office juggernaut, grossing ₹1,622 crore worldwide as of April 6, according to Jio Studios. The film has collected ₹1,228 crore domestically, with a net of ₹1,041 crore, while overseas earnings stand at ₹394 crore, highlighting its strong global appeal.

The film, released on March 19, enjoyed a robust opening weekend. Paid previews on March 18 alone contributed ₹43 crore. Its first three days saw collections of ₹102.55 crore on opening day, ₹80.72 crore on March 20, and ₹113 crore on March 21. On March 22, with 21,633 shows in India, the film earned ₹114.85 crore, while the first Monday after release saw a dip to ₹65 crore. Daily collections during the first week fluctuated between ₹40 crore and ₹60 crore before picking up over subsequent weekends.

On Day 18, Dhurandhar 2 continued its momentum with a net collection of ₹28.75 crore across 14,229 shows in India. Analysts attribute the film’s sustained performance to its pan-India appeal, with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu supplementing the Hindi version’s box-office haul. Sacnilk reported that while the Hindi version alone is poised to surpass the ₹1,000 crore net milestone, the combined performance of all languages accelerated its historic run.

Comparisons with previous blockbusters underscore the film’s success. While Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 reached ₹1,000 crore net in 16 days, Dhurandhar 2 achieved the milestone in 18 days. SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2, which set earlier benchmarks, collected ₹1,030.40 crore net domestically over a month, making Dhurandhar 2 one of the fastest-grossing Hindi-language films in recent memory.

Released in December 2025, the Dhurandhar franchise has consistently dominated the box office. This sequel surpassed the lifetime earnings of the original Dhurandhar within just 11 days, cementing its status as the year’s highest-grossing film. The ensemble cast, including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, reprised their roles, contributing to the film’s widespread acclaim and commercial success.

Industry experts note that Dhurandhar 2’s performance reflects the growing influence of pan-India releases and the potential for high-budget Hindi films to compete with South Indian blockbusters at the national level. With its box-office run still ongoing, the film is expected to continue adding to its record-breaking collections in the coming weeks.
