Punch EV Facelift vs Windsor, Nexon, eC3: Full Price and Range Comparison Explained
The Tata Punch EV facelift undercuts rivals with BaaS pricing while offering up to 468 km of claimed range.
Tata Motors has launched the facelifted Tata Punch EV, priced from Rs 9.69 lakh to Rs 14.44 lakh (ex-showroom). The entry price drops to Rs 6.49 lakh with a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, charging Rs 2.6 per km for battery use. Available with 30 kWh and 40 kWh packs, it delivers up to 468 km of ARAI-rated range and supports 65 kW DC fast charging. The Punch EV aims to make the entry-level electric SUV segment more accessible for budget-conscious buyers. It competes directly with the Citroen eC3 and indirectly with slightly larger EVs in the market.
The Citroen eC3, its closest rival, starts at Rs 12.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.41 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a 29.2 kWh battery and a 56 bhp motor, offering around 320 km of range. AC/DC charging support positions it as a practical urban EV for city commuters. Despite the slightly lower range, it remains a notable competitor due to its compact size and city-friendly performance. Compared to the Punch EV, the eC3 has higher upfront costs but lacks the flexible BaaS option.
Tata’s Nexon EV, a step up in size, ranges from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh and offers 30 kWh or 45 kWh batteries. With a powerful 148 bhp motor, it delivers up to 489 km of range, catering to buyers seeking more space and performance. The Nexon EV targets families or buyers wanting a full-sized electric SUV experience. Its higher price reflects the added capacity, longer range, and enhanced features.

The MG Windsor EV offers competitive pricing under BaaS, starting at Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 13.99 lakh, or Rs 14-18.5 lakh outright. Its 38.52.9 kWh batteries provide 332-449 km of range, making it a top choice in the segment. With attractive features and affordability, it has gained popularity among urban EV buyers. Compared to the Punch EV, the Windsor EV offers a slightly higher range but comes at a higher rental or outright price.
The Mahindra XUV3XO EV begins at Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom) without a BaaS option, offering a 39.4 kWh battery with a 285 km range. It targets buyers prioritising space over low entry pricing. The XUV3XO focuses on practicality and roominess for family use, rather than being an affordable entry-level EV. Overall, the Tata Punch EV facelift aims to balance accessibility, range, and fast charging while competing with both compact and slightly larger rivals.
