Fresh Spy Shots Show Tata Punch Facelift Nearing Production With Major Updates
Spy shots reveal near-production Tata Punch facelift with redesigned front and new features.
The Tata Punch, one of Tata Motors’ most successful compact SUVs, is reportedly getting a facelift, with production edging closer, according to recent spy shots. The model has retained strong sales since its debut, and the facelift aims to align it with Tata’s latest design language while introducing updated features.
Spy images of test mules on public roads show a dual-tone roof and design cues inspired by the Punch EV. Despite heavy camouflage, changes such as a redesigned front bumper, slimmer LED DRLs, and vertically stacked headlamps are visible. Certain trims may also get fog lamps with a cornering function, adding a modern touch to the exterior.
The prototypes feature thick black body cladding similar to the current model, while some reveal 360-degree cameras, hinting at advanced safety features like blind-spot monitoring. Updated alloy wheels and minor styling tweaks suggest the facelift is in its final testing phase, expected for launch in the first half of 2026.

Interior spy shots indicate a refreshed cabin with a new steering wheel featuring an illuminated Tata logo, a large 10.2-inch touchscreen, and a revised dashboard layout. Additional features may include ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch driver display, and possibly Level 2 ADAS, enhancing comfort and safety.
Under the hood, the facelift is expected to continue with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a CNG variant. Transmission options, including a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT, are likely to be retained, along with the dual-CNG-tank setup, offering efficiency and practicality for urban buyers.
The Tata Punch facelift is shaping up to be a well-rounded update, combining contemporary design, enhanced safety, and modern tech, keeping it competitive in the compact SUV segment as it heads toward its 2026 launch.
