Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ Arrives June 4 With 16GB RAM, 90W Charging and Android 16
Motorola confirms the Dimensity 8500 chipset, triple cameras, and wireless charging for its upcoming India flagship.
Motorola has revealed key specifications of the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ ahead of its India launch scheduled for June 4. The smartphone maker has updated the dedicated product microsite with details about the handset’s processor, display, battery, charging capabilities, and software support. The device was also recently spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, further confirming several hardware details before its official debut. Motorola’s latest premium smartphone is expected to target users looking for high-end performance, advanced camera features, and extended battery life.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is confirmed to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset built on a 4nm process. According to the company, the octa-core processor is capable of reaching clock speeds of up to 3.4GHz and has achieved an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 24 lakh points. Motorola has also confirmed that the device will offer up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM, positioning it among the more performance-focused smartphones in its category. To manage heat during gaming and heavy workloads, the handset will include a vapor cooling chamber with a 4,600 sq mm heat dissipation area.
The smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch 1.5K Extreme AMOLED display with support for refresh rates of up to 144Hz. Motorola claims the panel will deliver peak brightness levels of up to 5,200 nits and include Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection for improved durability. The handset will sport a centered hole-punch display design and is also confirmed to carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Additionally, the phone will receive MIL-810H certification, indicating enhanced resistance against harsh environmental conditions and accidental drops.

Battery performance appears to be another major focus area for the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will pack a large 6,500mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver more than two days of usage on a single charge. The handset will support 90W wired fast charging along with 15W wireless charging support. Motorola has also announced that the phone will run Android 16-based Hello UI out of the box and receive three years of operating system upgrades along with five years of security updates.
For photography, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ will feature a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor using Sony’s LYT-710 sensor technology. The main camera will support 3.5-degree optical image stabilization for improved image and video quality. The smartphone will also include a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera capable of delivering up to 50x digital zoom. These specifications indicate Motorola’s intention to strengthen its premium camera offerings in the highly competitive upper mid-range smartphone segment.
Motorola has confirmed that the Edge 70 Pro+ will be available in Pantone Chicory Coffee, Pantone Stormy Sea, and Pantone Zinfandel color variants. Each option will feature a distinct rear panel finish, including sculpted wood, twill-inspired, and satin-luxe textures. The smartphone will go on sale in India through Flipkart following its launch event on June 4. With flagship-grade specifications, a large battery, wireless charging support, and premium design elements, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is expected to compete directly with other premium Android smartphones launching in India this year.
