Vivo Y05e Emerges on Google Play Console as Budget Segment Entry-Level Contender

Vivo Y05e surfaces on Google Play Console with budget specs.

Vivo is expected to expand its budget Y-series smartphone lineup with the launch of the Vivo Y05e, as the upcoming handset has now appeared on the Google Play Console ahead of its official debut. While the company has not yet announced a launch date, the new listing confirms several key hardware specifications and offers a glimpse of the phone's design. The appearance on the certification platform suggests that the smartphone is nearing its market launch.

According to the Google Play Console listing, the Vivo Y05e carries the model number V2606 and features an HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1,600 pixels and a screen density of 300 dpi. The listing also includes an official-looking render, revealing a waterdrop-style notch on the front to house the selfie camera. The design indicates that the handset will target the entry-level smartphone segment with a familiar and practical display layout.

The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Unisoc UMS9230 chipset, also known as the Unisoc Tiger T606, confirming that it will support 4G LTE connectivity instead of 5G. The Google Play Console further reveals that the device will run Android 16 out of the box and will be equipped with 4GB of RAM. These specifications position the Vivo Y05e as a budget-oriented device aimed at users seeking an affordable smartphone for everyday tasks.

Earlier certification listings have also revealed additional details about the upcoming handset. The Vivo Y05e was recently spotted on Thailand's NBTC certification database and the US FCC database, both carrying the same V2606 model number. The FCC listing indicates that the smartphone will pack a 5,050mAh battery paired with 15W wired charging support, along with 64GB of internal storage, providing decent battery life and storage capacity for its price segment.

The Vivo Y05e is expected to be positioned below the Vivo Y05 in the company's smartphone portfolio. The Vivo Y05 is currently priced at Rs. 12,999 in India for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant and features a 6.74-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T7225 processor, and a larger 6,500mAh battery with 15W fast charging support. The Y05e is likely to offer a more affordable alternative while retaining several essential features.

Although Vivo has yet to officially confirm the smartphone's launch timeline or pricing, the growing number of certification appearances and the latest Google Play Console listing indicate that the announcement is likely to take place soon. With Android 16, a Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset, a 5,050mAh battery and 4GB RAM, the Vivo Y05e is expected to strengthen Vivo's presence in the entry-level smartphone market by offering a balanced combination of performance, battery life and affordability.
