Vivo X Fold 6 Leak Points To 7,000mAh Battery And 200MP Camera Upgrade

Vivo X Fold 6 leak suggests 7,000mAh battery, 200MP camera, and flagship chipset upgrades.

Vivo’s upcoming foldable smartphone, the Vivo X Fold 6, has surfaced in a new leak that points to significant upgrades in battery capacity, camera capabilities, and overall performance. The device is expected to succeed last year’s Vivo X Fold 5, although the company has not yet officially confirmed its development or launch timeline. The leak suggests that the handset is currently in the advanced stages of preparation ahead of its debut.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, who shared the details on Weibo, the Vivo X Fold 6 may feature a dual-cell battery setup combining 3,915mAh and 2,845mAh units, resulting in a total capacity of 7,000mAh. If accurate, this would mark a notable increase over the 6,000mAh battery found in the Vivo X Fold 5, positioning the new model as a major step forward in endurance for foldable devices.

The leak also claims that the 7,000mAh battery could make the Vivo X Fold 6 one of the most power-packed foldables in its segment. For comparison, competing devices are tipped to offer smaller batteries, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 with a 4,400mAh unit, the Oppo Find N6 with 6,000mAh, and the Honor Magic V6 with a 6,600mAh battery. This would give Vivo a potential advantage in battery capacity if the information proves accurate.

On the imaging front, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to feature a major leap with a 200-megapixel rear camera, alongside a periscope sensor for enhanced zoom capabilities. This would represent a significant upgrade over the Vivo X Fold 5, which comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX921 primary sensor, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto lens, and a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, along with 20-megapixel selfie cameras on both the cover and inner displays.

In terms of performance, the upcoming foldable is said to run on a flagship chipset, although the exact processor name has not been confirmed. However, expectations suggest it could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, succeeding the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 used in the Vivo X Fold 5. This upgrade would likely bring improved efficiency and performance gains.

The leak further hints at refreshed design elements and potential new accessories, though details remain limited. The Vivo X Fold 5 previously launched in India at Rs. 1,49,999 for the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variant, featuring an 8.03-inch inner AMOLED display, a 6.53-inch cover screen, and IP-rated water and dust resistance. It also supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging, setting a strong benchmark for its anticipated successor.
