Realme has officially launched the Realme 16 5G in India, making it the third addition to the company’s Realme 16 lineup. The smartphone went on sale on Monday through e-commerce platforms and Realme’s official online store, available in two color options—Air Black and Air White—and three storage configurations.
The base variant of the Realme 16 5G, featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage, is priced at Rs. 31,999. The 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs. 33,999, while the top-end 12GB + 256GB configuration is priced at Rs. 36,999. As part of an introductory offer, the company is providing up to Rs. 3,000 instant discount on EMI plans via select credit cards, along with a Rs. 2,000 bank and UPI discount, EMI options up to 12 months, and a Rs. 1,000 exchange bonus.
The handset is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6000-series octa-core chipset, coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. A Mali G57 MC2 GPU handles graphics, while a vapor chamber cooling system with a 6,050 sq mm heat dissipation area ensures thermal management during intensive tasks. The phone also carries an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and peak brightness of 4,200 nits. The screen supports an in-display fingerprint scanner and DT Star D+ cover glass protection. The device runs Android 16-based Realme UI 7.0, with a promise of three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.
Photography capabilities include a dual rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel main sensor with f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. On the front, it features a 50-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. Video recording is supported at up to 1080p/60fps. Notably, the rear camera module incorporates a selfie mirror for creative shots.
The phone is powered by a massive 7,000mAh battery with 60W wired fast charging support. It weighs 183 grams and measures 158.3x75.13x8.1mm. With competitive specifications, long battery life, and high-resolution cameras, the Realme 16 5G aims to strengthen the brand’s presence in India’s mid-range 5G smartphone market.
