The OnePlus Nord 6 launches April 7 with a 9,000mAh battery and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
The highly anticipated OnePlus Nord 6 is set to launch in India on April 7, and the company has already confirmed several key specifications ahead of the event. Positioned as a powerful mid-range contender, the smartphone is expected to bring a combination of premium design, flagship-grade performance, and industry-leading battery capacity. One of its standout features is a massive 9,000mAh battery, which the company claims is the largest in its segment.
In terms of design, the Nord 6 takes inspiration from the OnePlus 15, featuring a sleek body with smooth edges and a distinctive squircle-shaped rear camera module. The device will be available in three colour options — Fresh Mint, Pitch Black, and Holographic Quick Silver. The latter is expected to stand out with a unique holographic border design, giving the phone a premium and eye-catching look.
On the camera front, the smartphone is equipped with a 50MP Sony primary sensor with dual-axis optical image stabilisation, ensuring stable and sharp images. It is paired with a 32MP front camera that supports multi-focus capabilities. The device is also capable of recording videos in 4K at 60fps, making it suitable for content creators and users who prioritise high-quality video performance.

The biggest highlight of the Nord 6 remains its 9,000mAh battery, which promises more than 2.5 days of usage on a single charge. The phone supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, along with 27W wired reverse charging, allowing it to power other devices. Additionally, bypass charging technology helps reduce battery wear during gaming or heavy usage, improving long-term durability.
Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, designed to deliver flagship-level performance. The company claims up to 136% better CPU performance, 64% improved GPU output, and a 25% boost in AI capabilities compared to previous models. The device can support up to 165fps gaming in titles like Battlegrounds Mobile India, aided by a dedicated Touch Reflex chip and a six-axis gyroscope. It also boasts an impressive AnTuTu score of over 2.5 million.
The Nord 6 will come with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast multitasking and data access. Connectivity is enhanced with a G2 Wi-Fi chip for better performance in weak signal areas, along with advanced 5G support. On the software side, the phone integrates several AI-driven features, including Circle to Search, Google Gemini integration, real-time translation, summarisation tools, and AI Ghostwriter for smart content generation.
Durability is another major focus, with the device offering IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, along with military-grade drop protection. OnePlus has also promised six years of software updates and a lifetime display guarantee, making it a long-term investment for users. While the official pricing will be revealed at launch, the Nord 6 is expected to be competitively priced in the premium mid-range segment, potentially making it one of the most feature-packed smartphones in its category.
