Realme 16x 5G Roundup Reveals Expected Launch Timeline And Hardware Details

Realme is set to expand its smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Realme 16x 5G next week. The upcoming device will become the fifth smartphone in the Realme 16 series, joining the recently introduced Realme 16, Realme 16 Pro, Realme 16 Pro+ and Realme 16T 5G models. Ahead of the official launch, the company has revealed several details about the handset through a dedicated Flipkart microsite, including its design, colour options, availability and some key specifications. The Realme 16x 5G will be launched in India on August 12 at 12 noon IST.

The company has not yet confirmed whether it will conduct a dedicated launch event or introduce the smartphone through a soft launch. If Realme hosts a live event, it is expected to be streamed through the company's official digital platforms, including YouTube and social media channels. The smartphone will be available for purchase in India through Flipkart, with the dedicated product page confirming its online availability. The Realme 16x 5G will be offered in two colour variants — Blooming Brown and Blooming Silver. Reports suggest that the device could arrive in three RAM and storage configurations, including 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage.

In terms of specifications, the Realme 16x 5G is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6000 series chipset. The processor is likely to be paired with UFS 2.2 storage technology, which is designed to offer faster data transfer speeds and smoother app performance compared with older storage standards. The phone will also feature a dual rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The company has not officially revealed the pricing of the Realme 16x 5G yet. The pricing strategy of the Realme 16x 5G will determine how aggressively the company positions the new model against rivals. The launch of the Realme 16x 5G comes as smartphone brands continue to focus on expanding affordable 5G offerings in India.
