The Poco X8 Pro series launches March 17 on Amazon with flagship-grade specs.
The upcoming Poco X8 Pro 5G series from Poco, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is set to launch in India on March 17 at 5:30 PM IST. The lineup will include two models — Poco X8 Pro 5G and Poco X8 Pro Max 5G. The company has also confirmed that a special Iron Man Edition will be introduced on the same day. After launch, the smartphones will be available for purchase through Amazon in India.
In terms of pricing, the company has not officially revealed the cost yet. However, reports suggest that the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G may start at around ₹42,000, while the standard Poco X8 Pro 5G could launch at approximately ₹35,000. This would make the new series more expensive than its predecessor, the Poco X7 Pro 5G, which was introduced in 2025 with a starting price of ₹27,999.
Regarding design and display, the Poco X8 Pro series is expected to feature a flat rear panel with a vertical pill-shaped dual-camera module and dual LED flash. The phones will likely have the power button and volume controls on the right side. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G is expected to come with a 6.83-inch 1.5K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2,000 nits peak brightness. Meanwhile, the standard Poco X8 Pro 5G may include a slightly smaller 6.59-inch OLED display with similar features.

In terms of performance, the Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset built on a 3nm process, which reportedly scored over 3.1 million points on AnTuTu. The Poco X8 Pro 5G is expected to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor built on a 4nm architecture. To maintain performance during heavy tasks and gaming, both devices will include large vapour chamber cooling systems and graphite layers for improved heat dissipation.
For photography, both smartphones are expected to feature a dual rear camera setup. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G may include a 50-megapixel main camera with the Light Hunter 600 sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS). The standard Poco X8 Pro 5G is likely to feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor with OIS. Both phones are expected to include an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 20-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery life is expected to be a major highlight of the series. The Poco X8 Pro Max 5G will reportedly feature a massive 9,000mAh battery, claimed to deliver up to three days of moderate usage, around 30 hours of video playback, or 18 days of standby time. Meanwhile, the Poco X8 Pro 5G is expected to include a 6,500mAh battery offering about two days of moderate usage. Both devices are expected to support 100W wired fast charging with PPS support and 27W wired reverse charging.
