Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Buds 8 Lite, a new pair of true wireless earbuds targeting budget-conscious users who want premium features. Unveiled globally on January 15, 2026, alongside the Redmi Note 15 series, these earbuds deliver impressive active noise cancellation (ANC) and solid audio performance at an entry-level price point, making them a compelling choice for daily commuters, students, and music lovers.
At the core of the Redmi Buds 8 Lite is a large 12.4mm titanium-diaphragm dynamic driver, which provides detailed, balanced sound with enhanced clarity across frequencies. They support SBC and AAC codecs, Bluetooth 5.4 for stable connectivity, and dual-device pairing for seamless switching between phones and laptops. Users can customize their listening experience through the Xiaomi Earbuds app, choosing from five preset EQ modes (like Enhanced Bass or Treble Boost) or creating a personalized equalizer.
The standout feature is the hybrid active noise cancellation offering up to 42dB of wide-frequency noise reduction, effectively blocking low-frequency sounds such as traffic or air conditioning. It includes a Transparency mode for ambient awareness and dual-mic AI environmental noise cancellation (ENC) for crystal-clear calls, even in windy conditions up to 6m/s. Battery life is excellent, with up to 8 hours of playback per charge (ANC off) and a total of 36 hours when using the charging case. A quick 10-minute fast charge delivers 2 hours of music.
