Sanju Samson delivered a commanding unbeaten 87 off 52 balls to steer Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to a crucial victory over Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2026, continuing a standout season that has significantly boosted his reputation as a match-winner. The innings, played under pressure in a tricky chase, further strengthened CSK’s campaign as Samson once again played a decisive role in securing victory.

Samson has been central to CSK’s success this season, contributing significantly in four of their five wins so far. The wicketkeeper-batter has already registered two centuries in IPL 2026 and has consistently anchored innings with both aggression and composure. His latest knock against DC added another defining performance to what has been a prolific season following his high-profile move from Rajasthan Royals (RR) for ₹18 crore.

Following his performance, cricket experts and former captains lauded Samson’s impact and evolution as a batter.
