Robert Lewandowski to Leave Barcelona at End of 2025-26 Season This Summer

Robert Lewandowski confirms his Barcelona exit after four years; he scored 119 goals.

Robert Lewandowski has confirmed that he will leave FC Barcelona at the end of the 2025-26 season, bringing an end to a successful four-year spell with the Spanish giants. The veteran Polish striker announced his decision through a social media post on Saturday, saying his “mission is complete” after helping the club regain domestic dominance during a memorable chapter of his career.

The 37-year-old forward joined Barcelona from FC Bayern Munich in 2022 and quickly became one of the club’s most influential players despite arriving in the later stages of his career. Since moving to Spain, Lewandowski has scored 119 goals in 191 appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as a key figure in Barcelona’s attack and one of the most consistent strikers in European football.

During his time at the club, Lewandowski helped Barcelona win three La Liga titles, including the 2025-26 league crown, while also guiding the side to victory in the Copa del Rey in 2025. His experience, leadership, and goal-scoring ability played a major role in Barcelona’s rebuilding phase following several difficult seasons both financially and competitively.

In his farewell message shared on Instagram, Lewandowski reflected on his journey with the Catalan club and thanked supporters for their backing throughout his stay. “After four years full of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on,” he wrote, signaling the end of a successful chapter in his career. His statement immediately sparked emotional reactions from fans across social media, with many praising his professionalism and impact on the team.

Lewandowski arrived at Barcelona after an iconic spell with Bayern Munich, where he became one of the greatest forwards of his generation. Even in his late 30s, he remained one of Europe’s elite scorers and continued to deliver in crucial matches for Barcelona. His departure now leaves the club searching for a long-term replacement capable of filling the massive void left by one of football’s most prolific goal scorers of the modern era.
