Indian Women Golfers Eye Glory as Pranavi Urs & Tvesa Malik Lead at Hills Open
Pranavi, Tvesa, and Vani among 7 set to compete at the Hills Open in Sweden.
A formidable contingent of seven Indian women golfers, headlined by Pranavi Urs, Tvesa Malik, and Vani Kapoor, is set to compete at the €300,000 Hills Open in Gothenburg, Sweden, starting August 21, 2025. The Indian lineup is bolstered by rookie Avani Prashanth, Amandeep Drall, Sneha Singh, and Hitaashee Bakshi, all eager to make their mark on the Ladies European Tour (LET).
Notably absent is India’s top star, Diksha Dagar, who is taking a strategic break to prepare for a demanding second half of the season, including the Hero Women’s Indian Open.
Pranavi Urs, returning from a wrist injury, aims to regain her form, while Avani Prashanth continues to solidify her promising rookie season on the LET. Vani Kapoor and Amandeep Drall are focused on securing consistent performances to cement their positions on the tour.
Meanwhile, Sneha Singh and Hitaashee Bakshi, dominant forces on India’s Women’s Pro Golf Tour, are still adapting to the competitive rigors of the LET, seeking to translate their domestic success to the international stage. The Hills Open presents a critical opportunity for these players to gain momentum mid-season.
The tournament also features strong international competition, with England’s rookie sensation Mimi Rhodes, who leads the LET Order of Merit with 1,821.74 points from 14 events, and Czech Republic’s Sara Kouskova, fresh off a T19 finish at the AIG Women’s Open and a T4 at the PIF London Championship.
As the Indian contingent tees off, all eyes will be on whether Pranavi, Tvesa, and their compatriots can challenge the leaderboard and elevate India’s presence in global women’s golf.
