Diksha Dagar Secures 11th Consecutive Cut at KPMG Women’s Irish Open

Dagar’s consistent form keeps her in contention

Indian golfer Diksha Dagar battled through a rollercoaster second round to card an even-par 73, clinching the cut at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at Carton House. The 24-year-old from Jhajjar, the highest-ranked Indian on the Ladies European Tour (LET), finished tied for 56th, marking her 11th consecutive cut.

Dagar’s round was a tale of resilience, starting with a bogey on the first hole but quickly rebounding with three consecutive birdies. She navigated a bogey-birdie sequence on the fifth and sixth holes, followed by seven straight pars. Despite bogeys on the 14th and 16th, she held firm with pars to close, securing her spot at the +2 cut line with 69 players advancing to the weekend.

The two-time LET winner, who boasts five Top-10 finishes this season, including a runner-up in Morocco, was the only Indian to progress. Compatriots Avani Prashanth (74) missed the cut by one stroke, while Tvesa Malik (78) and Hitaashee Bakshi (83) fell further behind.

Leading the field, world number one amateur Lottie Woad surged to a three-shot advantage with a stunning 67 (-6), following her opening 68 (-5), dominating the O’Meara Course.

Dagar’s consistent form keeps her in contention as she eyes a strong finish and prepares for upcoming majors, including the AIG Women’s Open.
