Virat Kohli Seen Advising Vaibhav Sooryavanshi After RCB’s IPL 2026 Win

Virat Kohli shares mentor-like moment with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after IPL final.

A heartwarming moment between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) veteran Virat Kohli and teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after the IPL 2026 final in Ahmedabad has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention from fans across platforms.

The interaction took place shortly after RCB’s victory over Gujarat Titans in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Kohli, who played a match-winning knock of an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls, was seen engaging in a friendly and extended conversation with Sooryavanshi, who had an outstanding season and emerged as the tournament’s leading run-scorer and Most Valuable Player.

In widely circulated visuals, Kohli appeared to share insights with the young cricketer, placing an arm around him in a gesture that fans interpreted as mentorship. The senior batter was seen speaking at length, with Sooryavanshi listening attentively, highlighting a moment of respect and admiration between two standout performers of the season.

Both players had exceptional campaigns in IPL 2026. Sooryavanshi finished the tournament with the Orange Cap as the highest run-scorer, while also being named the Most Valuable Player. Kohli, meanwhile, anchored RCB’s batting lineup throughout the season and ended as the franchise’s top scorer, ultimately helping the team secure their second IPL title.

The final itself saw RCB defeat Gujarat Titans by five wickets to successfully defend their crown. Gujarat posted 155/8 after struggling against RCB’s disciplined bowling attack, which included key spells from Josh Hazlewood, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Rasikh Salam. Despite a late resistance from Washington Sundar, GT fell short of a competitive total.

With this win, RCB joined an elite group of IPL franchises with multiple titles, further strengthening their legacy in the tournament’s history. However, it was the post-match interaction between Kohli and Sooryavanshi that captured public imagination, symbolising a passing of experience from a seasoned champion to one of the league’s brightest emerging talents.
