PV Sindhu Congratulates RCB After IPL 2026 Win With “Lucky Charm” Message

Olympic medalist PV Sindhu joined the celebrations after Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) reported IPL 2026 triumph, sharing a playful and emotional message that mixed humour with admiration for the franchise’s long-awaited success. The Indian badminton star, who has been based in Bengaluru in recent years, posted her remarks on social media while acknowledging the team’s growing legacy.

Sindhu began her message with a light-hearted reference to her relocation to Bengaluru, jokingly suggesting a coincidence between her move and RCB’s recent success. She congratulated the players, coaching staff, management, and supporters for what she described as a deeply emotional journey culminating in back-to-back championships.

The two-time Olympic medallist highlighted the long history of disappointment endured by RCB fans, noting that the latest victories carried significant emotional weight for the franchise. She also extended a special mention to entrepreneur Ananya Birla and her family, acknowledging their involvement in the team’s ownership structure during this successful phase.

On the professional front, Sindhu recently competed at the Singapore Open, where her campaign ended in the quarter-finals after a loss to world number one An Se-young. Despite the exit, she had earlier delivered strong performances in the tournament, registering straight-games victories before facing the top seed.
