IND Vs AFG 2nd T20I: India Replace Varun Chakravarthy With Ravi Bishnoi

India spinner Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out of the remainder of the Afghanistan T20I series after suffering an injury, forcing the team management to alter its winning combination for the second match in Delhi. India secured a convincing seven-wicket victory in the opening T20I to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Chakravarthy played an important role in India's first-match success, delivering an impressive spell of 1/16 from his four overs. The mystery spinner also dismissed Darwish Rasooli by beating his stumps with a well-directed delivery. His absence leaves India without one of the key performers from their opening victory.

Ravi Bishnoi is expected to replace Chakravarthy in India's playing XI for the second T20I. Bishnoi is the only frontline spinner remaining in the squad and last represented India during the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. He picked up a wicket in each of those matches while completing his full quota of four overs.

India will otherwise look to retain the core of the side that produced a dominant performance in the series opener. Abhishek Sharma, who impressed with the bat in the first T20I, remains part of the predicted XI, while Sanju Samson is expected to take the wicketkeeping role. Shreyas Iyer will continue to lead the side, with Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube and Nitish Kumar Reddy also included.

The predicted Indian XI also features Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah alongside Bishnoi in the bowling department. Afghanistan are expected to retain a strong combination led by Ibrahim Zadran, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Sediqullah Atal, Darwish Rasooli and Azmatullah Omarzai forming part of the batting group.

Afghanistan's predicted XI also includes Gulbadin Naib, Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Naveen-ul-Haq, Noor Ahmad and Fazalhaq Farooqi. With India leading 1-0, the second T20I gives the hosts an opportunity to seal the series, while Afghanistan will look to respond strongly and keep the three-match contest alive.
