Ajay Jadeja Offers Yashasvi Jaiswal Blunt Advice After Colombo On-Field Altercation

Former India all-rounder Ajay Jadeja has criticised Yashasvi Jaiswal over his heated on-field exchange with Sri Lanka pacer Asitha Fernando during the first day of the second Test between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo. The confrontation followed Fernando's dismissal of Jaiswal, after which the Sri Lankan fast bowler appeared to give the Indian opener a send-off. Jaiswal initially began walking back towards the pavilion but then turned around and returned to the field, leading to a heated exchange between the two players.

The incident quickly escalated as Jaiswal and Fernando exchanged words before appearing to clash heads. There was also a push during the confrontation, prompting other Sri Lankan players to intervene and separate the two. Jadeja, speaking about the incident, criticised Jaiswal's decision to respond to Fernando's send-off. "If you can't take it back, don't say it to others," Jadeja said, stressing the importance of consistency in a player's approach to on-field confrontations.
